Bioshare is a publicly available repository for hosting and publishing biodiversity datasets and images. If you are a scientist with "orphaned" datasets, bird watcher, butterfly collector or similar and want to share your observation/specimen data, and do not have your own database server, but do have data in word processor, spreadsheet or PC database, possibly with digital images, you may contact webmaster@bioshare.net to have your own area in this server. You will remain in full control of your data, will be full accredited for its use, and may at any time add, edit, or withdraw your data.
From here, various portals such as Luomus, Artportalen, and GBIF can get your data automagically using the DiGIR protocol or the BioCASe protocol. To browse the data from this provider on GBIF, follow this link.
