| Description | Observations of Lepidoptera from throughout New Zealand from 1999. Most records derive from light trapping using a Skinner-type actinic trap in a garden in a residential area (highly modified habitat) on the North Shore of Auckland. Other records are casual observations, again mostly around Auckland. Names follow Fauna of New Zealand (FNZ) number 14, "Lepidoptera - annotated catalogue, and keys to family-group taxa", supplemented by FNZ 16 (Nepticulidae), 30 (Hepialidae) and 49 (Lithinini) for all taxa included in those volumes. |
