Bioshare entomological data warehouse

The current release allows publishing your data from the Biotella personal data collection application on the web and making various queries.

• Access the data warehouse through http://pyy.bioshare.net/
• Download the upload and query script for Unix, with sample data for PostgreSQL (compatible with version biotella2001f1; 2001-10-31; 1258 KB)

Canned queries can be formulated using the form or URI. Examples:

• Past three weeks in a 2*3 km area in South Sweden
• Everything since 2001-09-30 as above
• All of 2001 as above
• All of 2000 as above
• All macrolepidoptra of 1999 as above
• All species of Boloria anywhere by myself (SAH)
• Cosmotriche lobulina anywhere
• Everything by Justus Montell (code MTL)

Pyy can be used to produce species lists for surveys.

If you are a Biotella user and want to publish your data here on-line, send the dump files zipped on email to submissions@bioshare.net. This is still experimental. Automated procedures to support uploads and simple data entry using forms will come later.
